NORTH SAILS CHOOSES MYKAI: THE REVOLUTIONARY COSMETICS LINE FOR SUN PROTECTION THAT RESPECTS THE SKIN AND THE SEA.
Rome-Bologna 11 July 2019 - From today, MyKAI, the Ocean-Friendly cosmetics line created out of the alliance between Bio-on and Unilever is available at NORTH SAILS stores. MyKAI sun protection products contain no microplastics and their formulation is enriched with an "ocean-friendly" system made from 100% mineral filters and a powerful SPF (Sun Protection Factor) booster. MyKAI sunscreen lotion is available in three face and body types: SPF 15, SPF 30 and SPF 50, which protect the skin from UVB rays, responsible for sunburn, and UVA rays, associated with long-term sun damage.

BIS ZU 60% WENIGER SCHADSTOFFE: BIO-ON ENTWICKELT BIOPOLYMER FÜR ZIGARETTENFILTER
  • Dank einer zweijährigen Forschungszusammenarbeit zwischen den CNS-Laboratorien in Italien und der Universität Clarkson im US-Bundesstaat New York konnte Bio-on einen neuen Werkstoff patentieren.
  • Beim neuen Produkt handelt es sich um ein natürliches, biologisch abbaubares Flüssigpolymer, das auf der Grundlage des von Bio-on entwickelten, revolutionären Biokunststoffes Minerv PHA beruht. Der neue Werkstoff kann das in Zigarettenfiltern verwendete Triacetin ersetzen und bis zu 60% der für den menschlichen Organismus schädlichen reaktiven Sauerstoffspezies (ROS) herausfiltrieren.
  • Die Produktion des Materials ist in den Werken von Bio-on bereits angelaufen. Eine Ausweitung auf die Produktionsstätten der Lizenznehmer ist vorgesehen.

BOLOGNA, Italien, 3. Juni 2019 - Bio-on, ein im AIM-Markt an der italienischen Börse notiertes und im Bereich der hochwertigen Biopolymere tätiges Unternehmen, kündigt ein wichtiges Ergebnis aus seiner Forschung an: Durch einen speziellen Verarbeitungsprozess ist es gelungen, ein natürliches und zu 100% biologisch abbaubares Flüßigpolymer herzustellen. Es soll dazu dienen, das Triacetin in den Zigarettenfiltern der neueren und älteren Generationen zu ersetzen. Dabei wird mit der neuen Entwicklung eine zweifache Wirkung erzielt: Zum einen werden die Klebstoffe, die aktuell von den Tabakherstellern in den Zigarettenfiltern verwendet werden, ersetzt und zum anderen wird eine natürliche Filterkomponente eingeführt, die bis zu 60% der für den körperlichen Organismus schädlichen Stoffe (reaktive Sauerstoffspezies, ROS) herausfiltrieren kann, ohne dabei den Nikotin-Geschmack zu beeinträchtigen.

  • Negative net financial position (debt) of 20 million Euro compared to 25 million Euro (assets) in 2017 and shareholders equity of 82 million Euro compared to 48 million Euro at 31 December 2017.

  • Consolidated revenues of 51 million Euro at 31 December 2018 compared to 11 million Euro at 31 December 2017;

Bologna, 2 May 2019 - Bio-on S.p.A., listed on the AIM Italia market, held its shareholders' meeting in ordinary session at 6pm on 30 April at the beautiful Santa Maria della Vita museum hub where National Geographic's first European exhibition, "PLANET or PLASTIC", is currently running. The meeting approved the separate financial statement at 31 December 2018 and accepted the consolidated financial statement at 31 December 2018 (as approved by the board of directors on 30 March 2019).

Bologna, 30 March 2019 - The board of directors of Bio-on S.p.A., listed on the AIM Italia market and operating in the high quality bioplastic sector that produces, conducts applied research and develops modern industrial biofermentation technologies in the field of new eco-sustainable and completely naturally biodegradable materials, which met on 30 March 2019, approved the draft budget and the IAS/IFRS Consolidated Financial Statement of the year ending 31 December 2018.

The value of production is 51 million Euro; the EBITDA is 42 million Euro and the net income is 12 million Euro.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN BIO-ON AND INNOVA IMAGEN FOR THE PRODUCTION OF BIOPLASTIC IN MEXICO.
  • Bio-on and Innova Imagen (Himes Group) announce the signing of a new agreement to produce ultra-green PHA biopolymers in Mexico.
  • The two companies start the first collaboration in the central / north America, to exploit the Bio-on technologies for the industrial production of PHA bioplastics valorizing different local feedstock.
  • In the coming months Bio-on will work in exclusive with Innova Imagen to bring natural and biodegradable bioplastics for many market sectors into Mexico, with particular attention to the textile and fashion industry.

UNILEVER AND BIO-ON PRESENT MY KAI THE NEW LINE OF ULTRA-GREEN SUN CREAMS
  • The partnership between Unilever and Bio-on has created new brand My Kai, set to enter the cosmetics market with the first line of eco-friendly sun creams.
  • It is the world's first product made from the new cosmetic ingredients designed by Bio-on: micro powders made with the revolutionary minerv bio cosmetics bioplastic, obtained from renewable plant sources and 100% biodegradable.
  • Bio-on's ultra-green ingredients enable cosmetics products to significantly reduce the percentage of UV filters, which are essential to protect the skin but can be harmful for the environment, boosting water resistance at the same time.
  • My Kai products will be available in stores from March 2019.

Bologna (Italy), 14 January 2019 - Having enjoyed extraordinary growth in 2018, Bio-on S.p.A, listed on the AIM segment of Borsa Italiana and operating in the high quality bioplastic sector, is preparing to tackle the new year with an even stronger team.
To meet growing and constant interest from the national and international financial world in company developments, Bio-on has appointed Lorenzo Foglia as head of the Investor Relations team.
Born in 1986, Lorenzo gained an economics degree from the University of Bologna and trained in trading before beginning his career as a consultant at MeA Consulting in 2010. He has been interested in Bio-on's plan since the outset and has continued to follow the company's progress over time. In 2011 he joined Vodafone, where he moved rapidly up the sales and marketing ranks before heading up partnerships for Vodafone Enterprises in 2016. After approximately 7 years at the tlc, Lorenzo joined Google as Business Development Manager, working at the European headquarters in Dublin.
