BIO-ON GRANTS BIOPLASTIC TECHNOLOGY LICENSE TO RUSSIAN GROUP TAIF FOR PRODUCTION IN RUSSIA. 17.6 MILLION EURO AGREEMENT.
  • A highly important agreement for technological and commercial relations between Italy and Russia was signed in Moscow in the presence of Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin and Italy's Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte.
  • The agreement is worth 17.6 million Euro for Italian company Bio-on: 5.6 million for licensing the technology to produce 100% natural and biodegradable PHAs bioplastic, and 12 million for supplying high-tech fermentors design plants to the TAIF JSC group.
  • This agreement will see the Russian Federation's first PHAs production plant (in Republic of Tatarstan) with Bio-on technology. The TAIF JSC group will invest 90 million Euro in the production hub. The hub is expected to be operational by 2020.

TAIF GROUP AND BIO-ON ANNOUNCE TO HAVE CONCLUDED AN AGREEMENT FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF BIOPLASTIC PRODUCTION PROJECT IN TATARSTAN.
MOSCOW October 25, 2018 - Yesterday took place in Moscow, in the presence of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, the signing ceremony of the contract for the implementation of a plant for the production of 10.000 tpy of PHAs (polyhydroxyalkanoates).
TAIF JSC and Bio-on S.p.A., thanks to this agreement, will start the design and the construction of first plant for the production of PHA bio-plastic obtained from co-products of beet sugar production to be built in the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation).

BIO-ON SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE FIRST TEST PHASE FOR THE SPECIAL BIOPLASTIC PRODUCTION FACILITY INAUGURATED ON 20 JUNE
  • All tests on machines and software are positive and on schedule. The company confirms the full production regime by autumn.
  • In 2018 about 150 tons of micro powders in special PHAs bioplastic will be produced and marketed for the cosmetics industry. The current annual production capacity is 1000 tons.

BOLOGNA 21 February 2018 - The company SECI, holding belonging to the Maccaferri family, announces the launch of the bioplastics project to be carried out at the San Quirico production site using the Bio-on technology. The project will be carried out by the company Sebiplast s.r.l., a controlled company of the SECI Group, in the production site where today stands the sugar factory managed by the operating company of the SECI Group, Sadam S.p.A.
The choice of the San Quirico (PR) production site will guarantee the bioplastics project to benefit from synergies and common services with the sugar factory, but without interfering with the latter's production

The board of directors will meet on 30 March 2018 to approve the 2017 draft budget and the IAS/IFRS consolidated balance sheet to 31 December 2017.

CLEAN ENERGY FOR BIO-ON'S NEW BIOPOLYMERS "FACTORY" THANKS TO A TRIGENERATION PLANT BUILT BY GRUPPO HERA
Bologna, 16 January 2018 - Bio-on, the leader in eco-sustainable chemical technologies, and Gruppo Hera, one of Italy's main multi-utility providers, have reached an agreement for the supply of clean energy thanks to the realisation and management of a new technological-energy hub that will house a newly designed trigeneration plant. The deal was signed by Bio-on S.p.A. with Hera Servizi Energia, a subsidiary of Gruppo HERA, and will guarantee clean electric energy for the new plant producing innovative biopolymers that Bio-on is currently constructing in Castel San Pietro Terme, outside Bologna.

BIO-ON HOSTED THE FINAL MEETING OF THE SEAFRONT, THE EU PROJECT DEDICATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW GENERATION OF SELF-POLISHING COATINGS
Bologna, 09 January 2018 - Bio-on, the Italian biotechnology company leader in the bioplastic sector and listed in the AIM segment of the Borsa Italiana, organised last December the final event of the European project Synergistic Fouling Control Technologies - SEAFRONT.
In Bologna (Italy), for two days, 50 representatives of five multinationals, seven SMEs and seven research institutes spread across eight EU Member States presented and discussed the results achieved within the four-year project period in the development of environmentally friendly coatings which prevent the undesirable accumulation of marine organisms on boats, ships, tidal power plants and other aquatic installations.
